Bacon Memories at State Fair: Tennessee Here We Come!
A Vendor Adventure in the Heart of Tennessee
There’s no place quite like the Wilson County – Tennessee State Fair, and this year it’s bigger, bolder, and cryptid-friendly thanks to What The Sas, your go-to destination for Bigfoot apparel, cryptid merchandise, and vintage-style Sasquatch graphics.
Set against the backdrop of the James E. Ward Agricultural Center in Lebanon, Tennessee, the 2025 fair celebrates all things delicious, nostalgic, and wildly unexpected with the theme “Bacon Memories.” And yes, even mythical creatures like Sasquatch love bacon. (Trust us, we’ve asked.)
We’re proud to be part of this exciting 10-day celebration—bringing folklore, urban legends, and unexplained phenomena to life through custom Bigfoot merchandise and cryptozoology-themed apparel. Whether you're a die-hard Sasquatch enthusiast, a curious newcomer to cryptid culture, or just here for the funnel cake, you’re in for an experience unlike any other.

Bacon Memories Meet Mythical Creatures
You might wonder, what do cryptids have to do with bacon?
Everything.
This year’s fair theme, Bacon Memories, calls us to embrace tradition, family, and the little things that make Tennessee so special. And when you think about it, isn’t Bigfoot a kind of tradition too? The legend of Sasquatch—from the Appalachian Bigfoot to the Pacific Northwest Sasquatch—has been passed down through folklore and urban legends for generations.
Our booth ties right into the nostalgia with retro cryptid gear, vintage graphics, and the kind of conversations only true cryptozoology lovers can appreciate.
Cryptid Hotspot: Tennessee Style
Tennessee isn’t just the home of music and mountains—it’s a cryptid hotspot, especially in the Southern Bigfoot sightings corridor. Tales of the Tennessee Wildman go back over a century, and sightings are still reported in the Smoky Mountains to this day.
What The Sas brings these mysterious creatures to life with regional designs—think Ohio Grassman, Florida Skunk Ape, California Wild Man, and yes, Tennessee’s own hairy legend.
Things to Do at the Fair (Besides Hunting Bigfoot)
Skyride: Get a bird's-eye view of the fairgrounds. Maybe you’ll spot a wandering cryptid from above?
Live Concerts: Catch performances from Tennessee’s best up-and-coming talent.
Bacon Everything: From bacon sundaes to bacon-wrapped bacon, this is the year to go whole hog.
Tractor Pulls & Monster Trucks: Nothing says “Tennessee” like roaring engines and flying mud.
Dr. Humphrey Bate Memorial Old-Time Harmonica Contest: Honoring old-time music and heritage—perhaps Bigfoot will be whistling along?
Fiddlers Grove Historic Village: Step back in time with living history, perfect for families who love folklore and paranormal tales.
Why We Love Tennessee (and Why Bigfoot Does Too)
We’re a veteran-owned Bigfoot company that’s passionate about connecting people to mythical creatures, cryptid encounters in the wild, and the legends that make us smile. Tennessee, with its lush forests, winding rivers, and warm-hearted people, is the perfect place to share what we do.
Plus, there’s something undeniably magical about a state fair—especially one that gives space for cryptozoology for beginners, seasoned hunters, and everyone in between.
